
Costing Clerk

- Accurately cost repairs and confirm correct labour, paint, and parts pricing.
- Verify supplier invoices and cross-check against parts ordered.
- Monitor work in progress to ensure accurate cost of sales.
- Ensure authorisations are in place before invoicing and manage approvals for additional work.
- Liaise with Estimators, GM, Assessors, and Parts Buyers to resolve discrepancies.
- Complete and submit all costing, documentation, and invoicing timeously and accurately.
- Review and finalise costings daily with the General Manager.
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate (a financial qualification will be an advantage).
- 2–5 years’ experience as a Costing Clerk in the automotive industry (preferably auto body repair).
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end auto body repair processes.
- Proven experience liaising with Motor Assessors.
- Proficiency in the following systems:
- Audatex/Abuntex (non-negotiable)
- Nett Assess (advantageous)
- OUTsurance system (advantageous)
- Microsoft Office Suite (intermediate level).
