Do you have a strong technical foundation and a passion for process-driven environments? One of South Africa’s most respected pharmaceutical manufacturers is seeking an Accountant with completed SAICA articles and manufacturing experience to join their dynamic finance team.

As the Accountant, you will oversee core accounting functions, provide financial insights, and ensure adherence to compliance standards in a highly regulated industry. This role offers both technical complexity and the opportunity to partner with operations to improve efficiencies and profitability.Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Full Function Accounting: Manage journals, reconciliations, and month-end processes for manufacturing entities.
- Management Reporting: Prepare accurate management accounts and financial statements.
- Cost Analysis & Controls: Monitor production costs, perform variance analysis, and ensure accurate inventory valuation.
- Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to tax, statutory, and internal control requirements.
- Audit & Year-End Support: Assist with audit preparation and liaise with external auditors.
- Process Improvement: Drive efficiencies in financial systems and reporting within the manufacturing framework.
- BCom Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Completed SAICA Articles - Essential
- Manufacturing / FMCG Industry Experience - Essential
- Strong technical accounting skills, including inventory and cost management
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
