- Full knowledge of Sage 50 Pastel Accounting, including Customers, Suppliers, General Ledger, capturing of information, producing reports and reconciliation of accounts
- Full Knowledge of and experience in Pastel HR and Payroll software
- Knowledge of and experience in payroll administration roles and responsibilities

- Job purpose is to perform all bookkeeping and payroll duties within the finance function
- Pastel book-keeping (Debtors, Creditors, Petty Cash, Bank Reconciliation accounts)
- Generating Customer Invoices
- Reconciling Customer Accounts
- Generating Supplier Invoices
- Reconciling Supplier accounts
- Allocations to general ledger, supplier and debtors accounts
- Capturing and Reconciling bank statements
- Capturing and reconciling journal entries
- Producing a Trial Balance, Income Statement and Budget report in Pastel Accounting on a monthly basis
- Cash book processing and bank manager imports in Pastel
- Being able to draw various reports from Pastel Accounting for submission to B-BBEE verification agency and Auditors
- VAT Reconciliation on a monthly basis
- Matching Invoices to payments for suppliers and customers in Pastel Accounting
- Understanding of applying discount in Pastel Accounting
- Inter-Company procedures and reconciliations
- Administer employee salaries via Pastel Payroll
- Review month-end payroll journals
- Maintain employee data

- Diploma in Finance or related qualification
