- SAMTRAC qualification (or equivalent accredited qualification)
- SACPCMP registration
- Working on heights qualification (accredited training certificate)
- Fall Protection Planner qualification (accredited training certificate)
- Preliminary Incident Investigation qualification (accredited training certificate)
- Registered in terms of SACPCMP as a CHSO, Candidate CHSO will also be acceptable certificate)
- At least 5 years’ experience in the HSE environment preferably in Construction
- Experience in the implementation and maintenance of safety systems in the workplace according to the OHS ACT & Regulations
- Driver’s licence
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
- Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safety protocols are followed on all job sites
- Provide safety training and education to employees and contractors
- Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, and make recommendations for prevention
- Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, and inspections
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and regulations, and make necessary updates to company policies and procedures
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness
- Communicate safety regulations and procedures to clients and subcontractors
- Conduct safety orientations for new employees and contractors
- Manage safety budget and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented
