We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our client’s team. As the Health & Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of our employees, contractors, and clients. You will work closely with all departments to identify potential hazards and risks, as well as provide training and support to promote a culture of safety throughout the organisation.QUALIFICATIONS
  • SAMTRAC qualification (or equivalent accredited qualification)
  • SACPCMP registration
  • Working on heights qualification (accredited training certificate)
  • Fall Protection Planner qualification (accredited training certificate)
  • Preliminary Incident Investigation qualification (accredited training certificate)
  • Registered in terms of SACPCMP as a CHSO, Candidate CHSO will also be acceptable certificate)
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the HSE environment preferably in Construction
  • Experience in the implementation and maintenance of safety systems in the workplace according to the OHS ACT & Regulations
  • Driver’s licence
KEY RESPONCIBILITIES:
  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
  • Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to ensure safety protocols are followed on all job sites
  • Provide safety training and education to employees and contractors
  • Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, and make recommendations for prevention
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training, and inspections
  • Stay up-to-date on industry standards and regulations, and make necessary updates to company policies and procedures
  • Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness
  • Communicate safety regulations and procedures to clients and subcontractors
  • Conduct safety orientations for new employees and contractors
  • Manage safety budget and ensure cost-effective solutions are implemented
