- Grade 12 (with English & Mathematics) or equivalent Technical Trade Certificate.
- Valid South African Driver’s License.
- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to weld (welding qualification an advantage).
- Ability to work at heights (Working at Heights qualification necessary).
- Risk Assessment qualification First Aid Level 1.
- Ability to understand, interpret and implement technical instructions.
- Min 2 Years working experience as Junior Workshop Assistant.
- Min 4 years working experience technical, electrical or industrial working experience.
- Fluent in English.
- Manufacture and maintain products according to technical specifications.
- Service and install products as required, both on-site and off-site.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as needed, either at the company’s premises or at customer locations.
- Identify and communicate any potential production issues early to prevent delays.
- Ensure products are produced on time and meet quality standards.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the full product range.
- Ensure work is completed within agreed timelines.
- Provide continuous in-job training to junior workshop staff to improve performance and productivity.
- Train staff in the proper use of hand tools, power tools, and workshop equipment.
- Enhance employee skill levels and technical competencies.
- Operate company vehicles for deliveries and collections of products, tools, spares, and documents.
- Ensure deliveries are made on time, in full, and signed for by the correct recipient.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure vehicles are roadworthy at all times.
- Perform and report on regular vehicle maintenance, including any safety-critical items.
- Perform general workshop duties including washing vehicles and welding when necessary.
- Oversee stock usage during production and support inventory accuracy during stock takes.
- Ensure vehicles are tidy, clean, and presentable at all times.
- Maintain proper stock control and adhere to specifications.
- Ensure tools and machinery are in good working condition; report any damaged or missing items.
- Perform monthly checks on safety equipment and PPE, replacing or repairing as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Adhere to workplace safety procedures and promote a safety-conscious work culture.
- Implement and enforce quality control standards across products and installations.
- Monitor and ensure adherence to product and process quality standards.
- Perform QC checks on all items before delivery or installation.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through professional behavior and high service standards.
- Represent the company positively in all customer interactions.
- Strive to exceed customer expectations through reliable and efficient service.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance when dealing with clients.
- Identify additional product opportunities during site visits.
- Provide clients with contact details for support and servicing after installations.
- Assist team members beyond your core duties when needed.
