About the job Development Engineer - HardwareDevelopment Engineer - HardwareKey ResponsibilitiesDesign electronic circuits and systems based on detailed specificationsBuild and test prototypes to validate functionality and performanceEnsure product reliability in real-world operating environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, software, production) for integration and efficient manufacturingDevelop production-ready designs with a focus on consistency, cost-effectiveness, and DFM principlesSupport EMC compliance, safety standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the design processDesign or contribute to test equipment and validation processesDocument designs thoroughly according to internal and industry standardsProvide post-deployment technical support and address field issuesMentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous process improvementQualifications and Expertise RequiredB.Eng (Electronics) / BSc Engineering (Electronics) or equivalent qualificationMinimum 5 years experience in:Analog and digital circuit designEmbedded system design and programmingIndustrialization and product development of electronic systemsStrong understanding of both hardware and software integrationProficient in C/C++ programming, especially for embedded applicationsExperience with PCB design; Altium Designer skills are highly advantageousWorking knowledge of microcontrollers, FPGAs, and digital signal processing (DSP)Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, Ethernet)Skilled in circuit simulation and analysis tools (e.g., LTSpice, PSpice, MATLAB)Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and datasheetsExperience in design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT)Understanding of EMC/EMI compliance and relevant industry standardsFamiliarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)Comfortable using laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, spectrum analysers, multi-meters, etc.)Exposure to product certification and regulatory compliance processes is a plusWorking knowledge of RF design and principles, including antenna integration and RF layout considerations
