Location: Remote (working USA business hours)About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organised Bookkeeper to join our team remotely. This role is responsible for managing daily financial transactions and processing payroll for all employees. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting background, excellent attention to detail, and proven experience handling payroll in compliance with US regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate financial records and perform daily bookkeeping tasksRecord and categorise transactions in accounting softwareReconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial statementsPrepare financial reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statementsManage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collectionsProcess payroll on a weekly/bi-weekly/monthly basis, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local lawsCalculate wages, deductions, and benefits accuratelyPrepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports as requiredMaintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of employee dataAssist with month-end and year-end closing proceduresLiaise with external accountants or auditors when necessaryEnsure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and legal requirementsQualifications & RequirementsProven experience as a Bookkeeper with payroll processing responsibilities (preferably for US-based companies)Strong understanding of bookkeeping practices, accounting principles, and US payroll lawsProficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and payroll platformsExcellent attention to detail and high level of accuracyStrong organisational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCertification in Bookkeeping, Payroll, or Accounting is a plusWorking Hours & CompensationFully remote positionWorking hours: Must be available during USA business hours [ET]
