RPO's client is seeking a skilled and strategically minded Senior Credit Risk Advisor to join their high-performing team in Durban. This role is ideal for a seasoned credit risk professional who can manage client risk across regions, develop teams, and contribute significantly to operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for leading credit risk initiatives, coaching a team, and driving excellence across all facets of financial risk management and advisory.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage risk across national and regional client portfolios, ensuring early identification of threatsLead and mentor a team of credit risk and recovery specialists, promoting operational excellenceAdvise clients on credit insurance, financial policies, and business continuity strategiesConduct regular client visits, debtor meetings, and legal escalations where necessaryOversee credit applications, insurance claims, declarations, and reporting processesCollaborate with attorneys, insurers, and internal teams to manage collections and recoveriesPromote full service offerings and identify opportunities for strategic partnershipsMonitor team and individual performance, budgets, and client satisfaction metricsMinimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or Business ManagementNQF Level 7 or equivalent qualificationFSCA accreditationAt least 5 years' experience in credit risk management or advisory rolesPrevious leadership experience and exposure to credit insurers advantageousStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsProficiency in financial reporting and MS OfficeReady to take on a challenge and lead a dynamic team?Apply today to join a company where your credit risk expertise will be valued and developed.RPO Recruitment can help you secure your next opportunity.
