Michael Oak seeks to awaken the whole child towards creative responsibility and to develop confident, balanced individuals empowered to work with the challenges of today and tomorrow.We are seeking candidates for the position of:PRIMARY SCHOOL CLASS TEACHERFull-time permanent position to begin October 2025The successful applicant will be expected to begin their career at Michael Oak as a Class 6 teacher, and move with their class to class 7 in 2026, and ideally progressing with learners through all seven years of Primary School.They must meet the following criteria: - Formal teaching qualification at Intermediate Phase
- SACE registration
- Interest in and willingness to learn Waldorf pedagogy
- Willingness to grow with the children in their care, adapting their teaching style to the Waldorf methodology and each year of the child's development as they move from class 6 to class 7
- Versed in a wide range of artistic skills – drawing, painting, clay work, singing, playing an instrument, rhythmic speech, drama.
- Caring and enthusiastic, with a love of and dedication to children and their development
- Self-motivated
- Able to work well with our dynamic community of staff, learners and parents • Willingness to actively contribute to the collective management of the Primary School
