Our client, a well-established and global company, is looking for a Junior Accountant who is either in their final year of SAIPA articles or has recently qualified as a Professional Accountant (SA). This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and work closely with a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries.Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of financial statements in compliance with IFRS for SMEs.
- Monthly bookkeeping and reconciliations for multiple clients.
- Preparation and submission of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns.
- Assistance with tax planning, submissions, and SARS correspondence.
- Direct client liaison to resolve accounting and compliance queries.
- Support in audits, reviews, and ad-hoc accounting projects.
- BCom in Accounting/Finance or equivalent qualification.
- Final year of SAIPA articles or recently qualified Professional Accountant (SA).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, VAT, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and strong Excel skills.
- High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.
