The Prep forms part of Waterfall Schools in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal, home to pupils from Pre-Primary to Grade 12.We are looking to recruit a:Grade 2 to 5 Specialist Focus-Group TeacherCommencing in January 2026Minimum requirements: - An experienced, inspirational, organised and energetic teacher
- Foundation Phase or Intermediate Phase teaching qualification
- Registered with SACE
- Appropriate teaching experience essential (within Grade 2 to 5 preferable)
- An excellent command of English
- Knowledge and experience of CAPS
- Comprehensive computer literacy (including Google Classroom experience)
- Well-developed interpersonal and organisational skills
- Willingness to liaise as a team player
- Excellent classroom management skills
- Experience in remedial teaching/support would be beneficial
The position includes: - Teaching small groups from Grade 2, 3, 4 and 5 classes, focussing on filling gaps in understanding in Phonics/English and Numeracy/Mathematics or where needs dictate
- Developing a needs-specific programme, with input from the teachers, for the respective grades and subjects
- Attending Parent/Teacher Meetings, as required
- Working in a dynamic and creative work environment where innovation for pupil-centered teaching is valued
- Extra-mural activity involvement – experience in coaching sports such as hockey, netball, cricket and soccer would be an advantage
