
Accounts Clerk

- Capture and process supplier invoices, customer receipts, payments, and journals.
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and customer accounts.
- Generate and distribute customer statements, and follow up on outstanding debtors.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and prepare required reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Support VAT reconciliations, submissions, and audit preparations.
- Issue pick lists to warehouse staff based on approved sales orders.
- Confirm goods received against delivery notes and purchase orders.
- Capture GRNs (Goods Received Notes) into Sage Evolution.
- Book and schedule deliveries with couriers or internal drivers.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements.
- Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to resolve stock or delivery discrepancies.
- Grade 12 / Matric (required).
- Certificate or diploma in Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field (advantageous).
- 12 years experience in a finance or operations support role.
- Proficiency in Sage Evolution (essential).
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English (spoken and written).
- Strong knowledge of Sage Evolution (including GRN and inventory modules).
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and reconciliations.
- Advanced administrative and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work across teams and departments.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Experience in a stock-based or distribution business.
- Familiarity with courier booking systems and scheduling.
- Ability to resolve stock or delivery issues effectively.
