Our client, a major player in the road freight and logistics industry, is seeking to employ a New Business Development Consultant to their team based in Goodwood, Cape Town.Requirements:
  • Matric Certificate.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the logistics or transport sector.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:Lead Generation:
  • Identify potential clients in target markets through thorough research and effective networking.
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to achieve established targets.
  • Conduct cold calls, schedule appointments, and meet with prospective clients to introduce available services.
Client Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer queries during the onboarding process.
  • Understand client needs in order to provide customized logistics solutions.
Sales Strategy and Execution:
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
  • Negotiate pricing and service terms to secure contracts that align with organizational objectives.
Market Analysis:
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding market conditions and customer preferences.
Reporting and Administration:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in the CRM system.
  • Ensure full compliance with all internal policies and procedures.
