Reports to: Manager: Auto Fleet Sales
Department: Sales and Marketing
Remuneration: R750 000 – R850 000 TCTC per annumPurpose Of The Job:
The Fleet and Rental Sales Controller will be responsible for:
  • Maximising the Fleet and Rental Sales Performance
  • Assisting the manager of the department in improving operational and administrative processes
  • Operational optimisation and relationship management with Fleet and Rental Customer, as well as
  • within the Dealer Network
  • Deploying sales policies and procedures and ensuring their application
Responsibilities:
Sales Operations, Relationship Management and Performance:
  • Providing Fleet and Rental customers, as well as the Dealer network with a high level of service
  • support to ensure customer satisfaction and optimisation of sales results
  • Support the Dealer network terms of fleet sales and operations, in addition, assure that these are
  • done according to recommendations (physical dealer organisation, implementation of materials,
  • human means and commercial policy application, including the Fundamentals of Commercial
  • activity)
  • Implementation, Communication and/or Monitoring of: Fleet and Rental sales results and profitability
  • Fleet and Rental sales forecasts
  • Marketing, advertising, and event activities
  • Execution of incentives and promotions
  • Maintenance of the corporate identity
  • Monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Vehicle allocations and stock managemen
  • Sales programmes and best practice initiatives
  • Regular Customer and Dealer visits
  • Ensure coherence in the deployment of all commercial activities
  • Oversee logistic and operational processes to ensure timeous delivery of vehicle to customers,
  • submission of paperwork, and receipt of payment from customers
  • Ensure efficient communication between Customers, Dealer network and the different departments
  • Ensure that the Dealer network adheres to Sales and Operational Standards
Sales Planning:
  • Provide feedback on customer order pipeline / forecasting requirements
  • Assist with the management of stock order forecasting
  • Management of inventories, ensuring effective application of available stocks
  • Ensure effective co-ordination of sales promotions and campaigns on a regional basis
Market Intelligence / Reporting / Feedback:
  • Collate and report on competitor / retail activities in areas of responsibility
  • Provide continuous feedback regarding Customer requirements and industry trends
Success Factors & Key Challenges:
  • Analysis of sales trends vs targets/market to identify opportunities and grow sales
  • Monitor stock levels, customer demos, outstanding orders and other operational requirements
  • Evaluate and determine requirements in terms of customer experience
  • Monitor competitor’s activities and performance
  • Gather relevant information to feed-back and update management, as well as the sales and market department
Minimum Qualifications & Knowledge:
  • Relevant Sales & Marketing or equivalent Tertiary qualification an advantage
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly: Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position within the Fleet and Rental environment of the Motor Industry
  • In depth understanding of Fleet and Rental Sales, as well as the Motor Industry
  • Autonomous functioning and self-reliance in maintaining own workflow, priorities and meet business requirements and deadlines
  • Ability to establish new systems, processes and procedures
  • Strong negotiation skills and Effective communication and Interpersonal Relation skills
Special Requirements:
  • Extensive local travel will be required with some nights away from home
  • Flexibility and willingness to work outside of usual office hours
  • Potential candidates may be required to undergo psychometric testing
