- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a production leadership role within automotive, plastics or manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and other quality management systems.
- Proven expertise in production planning, project management and team leadership.
- Proficiency in ERP or MRP systems for scheduling and reporting.
- Degree or diploma in Industrial Engineering, Production Management or a related technical field.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in a high-mix, low-to-medium volume manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail and quality.
- Hands-on, proactive leadership style with a lead-from-the-front approach.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Develop and maintain a production schedule aligned with customer demand.
- Implement and control the schedule to ensure on-time delivery.
- Monitor and adjust production plans in response to demand or resource changes.
- Allocate human and material resources to meet production requirements.
- Manage the use of machinery and equipment, including scheduling, maintenance and upgrades.
- Forecast capacity and ensure adequate staffing levels to meet targets.
- Establish, document and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production operations.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations through training and enforcement.
- Monitor productivity to ensure efficient workflow and reduced downtime.
- Implement and continuously improve ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 compliant systems.
- Define quality standards and enforce quality assurance processes.
- Investigate root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Recruit, train and mentor production team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and performance excellence.
- Conduct performance reviews and implement improvement plans when required.
- Prepare and manage the production budget.
- Analyze and report on production costs and apply cost control measures.
- Recommend improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Collaborate with procurement, logistics, engineering and senior management to maintain seamless production flow.
- Act as a liaison between departments to align schedules, resolve bottlenecks and meet business objectives.
