Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure ICT (Information and Communication Technology) strategy aligned with business objectives and IT trends.
  • Ensure appropriate IT governance is in place, identify and manage IT risks.
  • Ensure IT compliance with regulation and company policy.
  • Ensure the use of company approved software and hardware, with active supplier support. (Syncpro scan)
  • Ensure only licensed software is used with the company.
  • Ensure daily backup of servers and conduct monthly tests.
  • Run disaster recovery program with hosting service provider.
  • Ensure data of local servers (Mill and Head Office) at each site must replicate to production servers at hosting site.
  • Ensure all software and hardware updates / patches are applied as per agreed IT Policy.
  • Ensure up to date antivirus software deployed.
  • Ensure email is archived and mail protection is implemented (Manage Mimecast)
  • Attend to Ossi call logging system.
  • Manage and/or resolve incidents/requests/changes logged by users, prior to referring to service providers.
  • Provide after hour support
  • Run maintenance programmes as per agreed timelines or in response to incidents.
  • Provide ad-hoc systems training / guidance.
  • Maintain bar code register
  • Maintain distribution radiuses
  • Maintain users on GP, AD and other system
  • Calculate rep incentive and obtain approval signoff
  • Import vendor pricing
  • Calculate selling prices or budget imports
  • Run and develop BI 360 reports
  • Verify and approve Agent incentives

  • Changes to rebates to be imported when required
  • Identify user needs regarding training through analysis of logged calls, user requests
  • Co-ordinate training with service providers
  • Provide training to staff
  • Source standard systems training material where applicable.
  • Coordinate the purchasing of computer and telephone equipment, software and services for approval
  • Ensure IT procurement is as per approved budget
  • Coordinate various IT services and negotiate with suppliers.
  • Manage and reconcile service provider billing.
  • Monitor and track the performance of service providers in accordance with their SLA
  • Ensure 99% availability of network.
  • Developing, maintaining and executing IT strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • IT policy and procedure review.
  • Provide sites with cost estimates to be used in their budgets
  • Compile group IT budget and communicate monthly chargeback to sites.
  • Ensure all ICT licence and enhancement fees are up to date
  • Ensure IT cost recovery is aligned with actual IT spend.
  • Ensure annual fee negotiations are as per company instructions
  • Ensure all solutions integrate both technically and at a business level.
  • Ensure configuration of new computers, e-mail accounts ,user profile on Great Plains and network
  • Managing and optimizing our network infrastructure and systems (performance and availability).

  • Evaluating and recommending new technologies to improve efficiency
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Commerce in Information Technology, BTech (Information Technology), or related
Skills:
  • Minimum 6 years' experience in networks and software deployment.
  • Strong Accounting/Finance/Budgeting experience.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server & Syspro.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in IT Management and user assistance.
