
Key Account Manager - Agricultural / Crop Protection / Industrial Chemical Raw Materials

- A tertiary qualification is preferred but not essential.
- Previous sales experience having sold chemical raw materials into the agricultural / crop protection and industrial chemical and related manufacturing industries is preferred for the role.
- The company is also happy to look at an internal salesperson for the role who wants to move into an external sales role.
- Maintaining strong relationships with existing key accounts within the agricultural / crop protection and industrial and related manufacturing industries on a national basis.
- Promoting chemical raw materials into the agricultural / crop protection and industrial manufacturing markets maintaining strong relationships with existing key accounts as well as identifying and developing potential business opportunities on a national basis.
- Attending regular feedback sessions on various projects managing customer expectations.
- Managing price negotiations and various products with customers relaying market information to management and suppliers in order to be competitive in the current South African economic conditions.
- Setting and driving budget targets and sales objectives.
- Identifying new potential customers and business as well as ensuring the business is gained for the purpose of volume growth per product.
- Presenting sales reports to senior management.
- Implementing customer retention strategies to develop and manage sustainable quality relationships with external customers.
- Managing forecasting for stock availability for customers.
