We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Artisan Assistants to support qualified artisans (such as electricians, plumbers, fitters, welders, or mechanics) with day-to-day tasks. The Artisan Assistant will assist with tools, materials, setup, basic repairs, and site cleanliness, ensuring the smooth execution of technical and maintenance work.Key Responsibilities:Assist artisans in carrying out maintenance, installations, and repairsPrepare and hand over tools, equipment, and materials as requiredHelp with assembling, dismantling, or moving machinery and partsClean work areas, tools, and equipment after tasks are completedFollow instructions from the artisan or supervisor accuratelyAdhere to all health and safety guidelines and proceduresReport any faulty tools, equipment, or hazardsPerform basic tasks under supervision (e.g., cutting, drilling, lifting, measuring)Transport materials or equipment within the site/workshopSupport in keeping records or documenting basic maintenance activitiesRequirements:Education:Grade 10–12 (Matric preferred)Technical training or N1–N2 certificate in a relevant trade (advantageous)Experience:Prior experience in a workshop, factory, or technical support role is beneficialExposure to mechanical or electrical environments is a plusSkills & Competencies:Basic understanding of hand tools and workshop safetyPhysically fit and able to lift, carry, and stand for long periodsWillingness to learn and follow instructionsGood communication and teamwork skillsReliable, punctual, and safety-consciousAttention to detail and proactive work ethicOther Requirements:Willing to work shifts, overtime, or weekends if requiredAbility to work in various conditions (indoor, outdoor, noisy, dusty environments)Work Environment:Construction sites, factories, workshops, or maintenance departmentsInvolves manual labor and supporting technical operationsThe post appeared first on .
