This role requires a proactive leader who can set technical direction, ensure compliance with local and international standards, and drive innovation and continuous improvement across suppliers, manufacturing, and distribution operations.Qualifications
- B.Sc. in Food Science, B.Tech. in Food Technology, or National Diploma in Food Technology (Essential)
- Any higher qualification in Food Science, Engineering, or Project Management (Advantageous)
- 5–7 years’ experience in a technical, QA, or food manufacturing environment, with at least 2–4 years in a supervisory/management role
- Experience within the QSR or FMCG sector (Advantageous)
- Define and implement technical strategies, policies, and standards across suppliers and operations
- Lead supplier approvals, audits, and compliance with local and international regulations
- Drive innovation and product improvement initiatives aligned with business objectives
- Provide leadership on risk management, product integrity, and regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with suppliers, franchisees, and cross-functional teams to build capability and enhance performance
- Oversee technical support for new product development, packaging, and process improvements
- Manage customer complaint resolution, corrective actions, and product recall processes
- Deliver technical insights and reports to executive leadership to guide decision-making
- Strong technical knowledge of food manufacturing processes, quality systems, and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design and implement innovative solutions
- Familiarity with supply chain compliance, incoterms, and export/import requirements
- Strong and confident leadership style with the ability to influence across all levels
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and decisive
- Resilient and adaptable with an innovative mindset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
