- Process daily load entries in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Generate and update invoices for all outgoing loads.
- Attach gate passes to corresponding invoices.
- Verify customer invoices are updated and accurate.
- Conduct physical checks of cages before truck loading.
- Verify that pickers are selecting the correct stock.
- Ensure reach truck drivers are placing stock in the correct racks.
- Open and securely close cages as part of the daily workflow.
- Locate items within the warehouse to fulfill daily orders.
- Weigh and label packages accurately.
- Inspect packages and containers for damage and compliance with shipping standards.
- Assemble and pack daily orders based on shipping location or other criteria.
- Operate or load packaging machines with appropriate materials (boxes, bags, wrapping, etc.).
- Supervise the packing process and monitor machine performance.
- Ensure all packages meet quality standards and customer requirements.
- Verify shipping items against bills of lading and document discrepancies.
- Ensure timely loading of all outsourced links.
- Support loading operations as required.
- Maintain accuracy, quality, and efficiency in all packing and shipping operations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned to support warehouse functions.
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent
- Proven experience as dispatcher or relevant position
- Have a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience in an FMCG, preferably Warehousing environment.
- Familiar with warehousing systems
- Proficient knowledge of relevant methods and procedures
- Multitasking: Managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Effective Communication: Clearly conveying information to different parties
- General: Ability to do trouble shooting and present solutions in a fast-paced pressurised environment
- Self-starter, energetic and highly motivated individual with superior analytical capabilities and an intense desire to identify and solve problems.
- Excellent communication skills and leadership qualities.
- A person with high integrity and able to make decisions under pressure.
- Prepared to work outside normal working hours and do standby duties.
- Able to delegate effectively and empower subordinates by giving them real responsibility and authority to use their own initiative and discretion (within boundaries), and to be accountable for their own results.
