- Prepare and present a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and baked goods.
- Develop new dessert recipes and seasonal menus in line with current trends.
- Ensure all baked goods are consistently prepared to the highest standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry section.
- Oversee stock control and inventory for pastry ingredients and supplies.
- Monitor and maintain food safety, hygiene, and kitchen health regulations.
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff as needed.
- Coordinate with other chefs and departments to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role.
- Relevant culinary qualification or diploma in pastry arts.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices.
- Creativity and a keen eye for aesthetics and presentation.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
