Sales EngineerEast RandMarket-Related SalaryPurpose of Role: The position reports to the Sales Engineer and is responsible for selecting, quoting, troubleshooting and promoting all pumps and Valves products to domestic and international sales channels. All activities will be focused to expand Pumps and Valves product market share into key growth markets in Africa. Achieve project objectives by compiling project proposals; conferring with management.Brief Description of the Position:1. Prepare engineering proposals2. Interaction with clients confirming needs and requirements3. Review the status of deliverables and initiate corrective actions4. Assist customers with feasibility studies5. Coordinate activities ensuring timely completion of projects6. Establish new and maintain existing client relationships7. Record and maintain client contact data8. Support marketing functions i.e. attending trade shows etc9. Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education10. Site evaluation and pump installation problem solving11. Compiling tender documents12. Comply with and enforce all policies and procedures13. Assist fellow employees with daily functions as and when required14. Carry out all other reasonable tasks that may be delegated from time to timeEDUCATION: Technical and/or Commercial Degree/Diploma (Minimum NQF 6)EXPERIENCE: 5 Years of experience in Project SalesREQUIREMENTS: API and chemical pump knowledgePump selection and application knowledgeEngineering sales experienceComplete and finalize tender documentsKey account responsibilities
