The Two Oceans Aquarium Trusts Finance Department is looking for an individual with a strong sense of ethics, a passion for continuous learning, and a natural passion for the field of accounting. The candidate must have current knowledge of accounting principles and practices as well as the ability to emphasise accuracy in all tasks.Only candidates with the relevant experience in the following will be considered:Solid e-Filing knowledgeIncome Tax submissions for individuals, companies and trustsMonthly submissions of VAT and PAYEVAT, PAYE, UIF and COIDA submissionsAnnual COIDA submissionsResponsibilities include:Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recordedReview accounts receivable and review statementsReview accounts payable and review reconciliationsAssist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal, company, trust accounting and financial guidelinesAssist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assignedUpdate financial data in databases to ensure that information is accurate and immediately available when neededPrepare and submit weekly/monthly reportsAssist Finance Manager in the preparation of monthly/yearly closingsSupervise junior staff performanceComplete the monthly accounting process up to and including trial balance and submission of management accounting pack to various stakeholders.Requirements:Proven experience as an accountantExperience in a supervisory roleBus. Sci/B Comm in accounting, finance or relevant fieldSolid knowledge of Pastel Partner and/or XeroSAICA or SAIPA articles will be advantageousSalary: To be discussed at interview
