They are growing their portfolio and funds under management substantially and are seeking a dynamic self-starter to support the investment team.They now seek an investment analyst to meet the demand from target companies the team are looking to invest into, to support the existing portfolio and assist with investor reporting.JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

You will be responsible for conducting financial due diligence focused around:

Financial modelling and analysis;
Company and industry analysis;
You will be responsible for advanced presentation and reporting through spreadsheets and documents;
You will be responsible for portfolio performance monitoring:

Collection and interpretation of key performance metrics;
You will be responsible for investor reporting:

Detailed calculations and compilation of investor reports;
You will be responsible for travel and events:

National and regional travel and attending industry related events;
You will be responsible for assisting with aspects relating to executing, managing and reporting on investments, with direct exposure to the business principals, the investment process, the deal team and underlying portfolio investments.

CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

You have an entrepreneurial mindset;
You are self-starter;
You have a desire to join a Venture Capital (VC) firm that is quickly growing and making a positive impact in the African VC ecosystem.
You have excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in English.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

You have a B.Bus.Sc (finance);
You are a CA(SA), CFA or part;
You have a minimum of 1 year current, relevant working experience in the financial services sector;
You have non-listed equity valuation and reporting experience - this is preferred;
You are highly proficient with MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
