Introduction:Pepkor Lifestyle is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Rent Roll Administrator to join our finance team.
The Rent Roll Administrator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the property's rent roll, including collecting rents, reconciling accounts, processing move-ins and move-outs, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all rent-related transactions. The incumbent will work closely with property managers, leasing agents, and accounting staff to ensure proper tracking and recording of all rental income and expenses.Job DescriptionTo make payments to landlords by processing all relevant documents and ensuring up to date details.Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and record rent payments from tenants in a timely manner
  • Process move-ins and move-outs, including calculating prorated rents and security deposit refunds
  • Reconcile rent accounts and resolve any discrepancies
  • Update rent roll with any changes in lease terms or rental rates
  • Prepare and distribute monthly reports on rent collections and delinquencies
  • Work closely with accounting staff to ensure accurate recording and reporting of all rent-related transactions
  • Assist property managers and leasing agents with any rent-related inquiries or issues
  • Maintain confidentiality of tenant information and rent roll data
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Grade 12
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in general finance
  • Knowledge of property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and general finance
  • SAP proficiency
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
