Provide guidance and support to maintenance staff working on roll activities ensuring alignment with company, national and customer standards.Key Performance Areas:
- Oversee operations of Roll Shop Machines
- Identify and report irregularities to the Production and Maintenance
- Up-dating of roll change register, roll history cards and Prepare Grinding loss reports
- Ensure quality control of rolls issued to production
- Repairing of damaged rolls
- Prepare and submit monthly Roll Shop technical reports
- Ensure calibration and maintenance are done on all roll shop equipment
- Adhere to safe work practice and good housekeeping
- Matric Certificate
- N3 / NQF4 Technical Qualification with production experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a first-level management role within a production environment
- Computer literate, proficient in Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint
- SAP Super User experience in Production Planning and Execution
- Ability to liaise effectively with suppliers and customers when required
