As a Decision Support System Developer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining advanced data-driven tools that support critical decision-making processes across our engineering and construction projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that our DSS solutions align with business needs, enhance operational efficiency, and provide actionable insights to guide strategic decisions. This role is based permanent based in Bloemfontein.Qualifications And Experience:
- BIT or BSc in Computer Science preferable
- Minimum 2 years' experience
- Full stack web developer
- Experience with web-based GIS & mappingResponsibilities:
- Development of the systems will be done with the input of civil and mechanical engineers.
- Testing, diagnosing and modifying systems to ensure that they operate reliably.
- Self-development skills to keep up to date with fast-changing trends.
- Basic understanding of statistics, machine learning and artificial neural networks.
- Capability to work with data from local sources (offline) and online sources which will be displayed on a website to be developed
- Understanding of hierarchical user access control and levels of information
- Able to develop striking graphical display of analyses outcomes
- Capability to develop communication and reporting systems - automatic user alarms, PDF reports & notifications (WhatsApp messages, bots, emails, etc.)Requirements:
