Are you a detail-oriented finance professional with a flair for numbers and cost analysis? Our client, a reputable and steadily expanding manufacturing company in Johannesburg North, is looking for a skilled Cost Accountant to join their energetic finance team. This is a great opportunity to play a vital role in enhancing financial performance and supporting strategic business initiatives.Duties:
- Develop and manage cost accounting frameworks to ensure accurate product costing and in-depth variance analysis.
- Produce comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and yearly cost reports for management review.
- Collaborate with production and operational departments to assess costs and identify efficiency improvements.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts in alignment with the company’s financial objectives.
- Review standard costs regularly, investigate variances, and propose cost-reduction strategies.
- Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with relevant financial reporting standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CIMA qualification (completed or currently pursuing) will be a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a cost accounting role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Solid track record in budgeting, forecasting, and conducting cost analyses.
