A well-established and fast-paced manufacturing business is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially astute Accountant to join their finance team. Reporting directly to senior management, the successful incumbent will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving cost-effective decision-making across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS
Analyse cost drivers and contribute to cost-saving initiatives
Monitor inventory and bill of materials for accuracy and efficiency
Ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements
Maintain and improve internal controls and reporting processes
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Liaise with auditors, SARS, and other regulatory bodies
Support operational departments with financial insight and analysis

Education & Experience:

CA(SA) qualification is non-negotiable
Minimum 2–4 years post-articles experience (manufacturing industry experience advantageous)
Strong knowledge of IFRS and tax legislation
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite advantageous)
Proficient in Excel and financial modelling
