We are looking for a highly skilled and commercially driven Veterinary Key Accounts Manager to take ownership of strategic client relationships and sales growth within the KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape regions. This role blends technical expertise in animal health with a consultative sales approach, building long-term partnerships with veterinary professionals, wholesalers, and selected farming clients.Main Responsibilities
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with key veterinary accounts, wholesalers, and selected farmers to drive business growth.
- Apply in-depth technical knowledge to position products effectively and offer tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
- Evaluate the territory and customer base to identify opportunities with the highest growth potential.
- Coordinate and facilitate farmer information sessions and study groups in partnership with veterinary clients.
- Implement promotional activities aligned with marketing objectives, while ensuring budgets are carefully managed.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date client and sales information through Salesforce, Touchpoint, and structured call planning.
- Track market movements, competitor activities, and customer insights to guide sales strategy.
- Serve as the primary liaison for key accounts, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Degree in Veterinary Science (BVSc), Veterinary Nursing (BVetNurs/Dip.Vet.Verpl.), or a Science/Agriculture/Animal Science-related field.
- More than 6 years’ experience in the animal health industry, ideally with a focus on sales or account management.
- Previous exposure to sales and/or marketing in the Animal Health sector will be advantageous.
