Finance Manager

Requirements:

Key Performance Areas (inter-alia)

Participate in key decisions as a member of executive management team
Manage the various accounting departments
Assist in formulating the companyâs future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
Interact with managers to provide support to planning and financial initiatives
Develop financial and tax strategies in consultation with external auditors
Manage the capital request and budgeting processes
Develop performance measures that support the companyâs strategic direction
Ensure record systems are maintained according to generally accepted auditing standards
Oversee the issuance of financial information & financial results
Analyze financial statements, cash flow, cost controls and expenses to guide business leaders
Ensure compliance to legal and regulatory requirements
Construct and monitor reliable control systems â incl. insurance coverage
Maintain relations with external auditors and follow through on recommendations
Monitor cash balances and forecasts
Arrange for debt and equity financing
Maintain banking relationship

Key Skills needed:

Strategic planning and execution
Knowledge of contracting, accounting, budgeting and cost control
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
Ability to motivate teams to produce quality outputs within tight timeframes and manage several projects simultaneously
