- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures, ensuring operational excellence.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts and annual financial statements, providing critical insights for decision-making.
- Proactively manage cash flow forecasts, integrating them into the budgeting process for strategic financial planning.
- Oversee supplier management, including invoice review, payment scheduling, and comprehensive reconciliations.
- Ensure rigorous financial and statutory compliance for the Fund Manager and affiliated entities, including audit coordination and secretarial filings.
- Collaborate with external auditors, facilitating the annual audit process and other agreed-upon procedures.
- Review VAT returns and assist with other tax compliance, including corporation tax filings, in conjunction with external advisors.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of transactions and taxes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Work alongside the external compliance officer to ensure adherence to FSCA regulations.
- Contribute to the preparation of board and board committee packs, providing essential financial information.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for special projects, including financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting, driving continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with LPA and other applicable regulations for external reporting.
- Maintain comprehensive financial source documents for submission to the fund administrator.
- Coordinate and ensure accurate and timely execution of ongoing fund accounting functions, including bookkeeping, quarterly reporting, payments, and distributions.
- Review monthly fund financial statements and quarterly investor reporting packages prepared externally.
- Prepare supporting schedules for the annual audit process and manage auditor requests efficiently.
- Prepare and process capital calls and distributions for investors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Coordinate the timely and accurate issuance of capital calls and quarterly reports.
- Monitor cash flows and ensure efficient management of cash across funds, maintaining liquidity and meeting operational and investment commitments.
- Professional Accountant qualification.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of relevant experience in Private Equity, investment firms, or alternative asset management.
- Experience with financial modeling.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across all levels.
