Our client, a well-established operation with both layers and rearing facilities based in Paarl, is seeking to employ a proactive and experienced Farm Manager to oversee the entire poultry operation, drive efficiencies, and implement robust systems and controls, to ensure long-term sustainability and profitability.The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): *Full operational management of the layers and rearing farms *Manage the rearing and layers supervisors, ensuring strong teamwork and accountability *Develop, implement, and maintain effective farm systems, controls, and processes to reduce losses, improve productivity, and manage costs *Monitor and optimise key performance areas: feed usage, production efficiency, mortality, biosecurity, and labour management *Ensure compliance with company standards, veterinary protocols and industry regulations *Analyse production and financial reports, identify problem areas, and implement corrective actions *Train, mentor, and develop staff to achieve performance targets and foster a culture of responsibility *Oversee farm maintenance, infrastructure, and asset management *All other tasks related to the position.Essential qualifications, skills and experience:A relevant qualification in Animal Production/Agriculture or equivalent;5 years experience in managing poultry operations (layers and/or rearing);Excellent knowledge of poultry production systems, biosecurity, feed management, and health protocols;Solid financial and business acumen, with experience in budgeting and cost control;Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to drive accountability;Problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills with a results-driven approach;A valid driver's license and own reliable transport.*No housing available on the farm.Please apply online at www.m3online.co.za before 09:00 on 5 September 2025.For general enquiries, contact our team at M3 Human Capital Management on XXX-XXXX.Please note that only shortlisted candidates are contacted.
