This role is responsible for driving sales strategy, building retailer relationships, and ensuring strong brand engagement year-round. The Sales Manager will oversee forecasting, budgeting, and execution of customer engagement activities, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver on key growth objectives.Key Responsibilities

Develop and lead strategic sales plans aligned with business and brand goals
Identify and secure new business opportunities within retail and independent channels
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate forecasting and data integrity
Drive category growth through innovation and insights-led initiatives
Manage and report on budgets, working capital, and quarterly cash flow
Oversee customer reporting, including retail sales and forecast tracking
Conduct regular engagement with retailers and distributors
Contribute to new product development to grow market share
Lead and mentor staff through biannual performance reviews and career development plans

Requirements

10+ years'' experience in sales and/or brand management, with executive leadership exposure
Relevant degree in Commerce or related field
Strong track record in the South African retail sector; apparel or footwear experience preferred
Excellent commercial acumen and understanding of customer engagement
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Skilled in data-driven decision-making and sales forecasting
Motivated, strategic, and confident in building and maintaining relationships
Experience in managing staff and leading teams through change and growth
