The position requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills,and a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship. Qualifications & Experience Essential:The person will have strong interpersonal and communication skills.Excellent presentation skills and proven problem-solving abilities.Strong business acumen with a strategic orientation.Proven experience as a Contract / Site Manager or similar managerial role.Significant experience in underground mining operations, with a proven track record of progressively responsible roles.In-depth understanding of underground mining methods, technologies, and safety standards. Preferred:A degree in business studies would be an advantage. Roles and Responsibilities TrainingBe a role model for the organisationComply and develop the Otraco Management System (OMS) policies, procedures and instructionsBe engaged in and contribute to the operations leadership teamAbility to complete management reports on time is essentialAwareness and structuring of applicable company KPI’s and business planBe aware of all competitive activities within major accountsPresentations for clients showing the success and credibility of the business and its productsFinding new customers and constantly expanding the businessKeeping up to date with current market trends and customer needsComply with client policies, procedures and instructionsAssist the site teams to comply with the contracted “scope of work” and the delivery of a high quality of service to the clientEnsure the necessary resources are deployed to supply services according to the contract management plans.Ensure that quality documents are maintained, filed and archived according to OMS procedures.Perform regular audits on quality, safety and Critical performance indicators and make recommendations as requiredEnsure that corrective action requests from auditors are carried outAssist the Site Managers with day to day running of each siteAssist the Site Managers to ensure that Otraco standards are maintained in the analysis of tyre performance, and accuracy of tyre recordsGive lectures and presentations on site to operators, supervisors and management, including an annual site review presentationIdentify opportunities and implement solutions to minimising tyre related costs for the client companyAssist with the preparation of statistical and written sections of monthly reports to client companies (GMR)Manage with the Site Manager the testing of new productsAssist with EM/HV tyre batch analysisEnsure Site Management conduct scrap tyre and rim inspections accuratelyMonitor the conditions of tools and equipment and their fitness for the task for which they are being used.Assist with the development of tyre servicemen and the fostering of a learning environment in the teamPromote continuous improvementMonitor haul road conditions and take actions to minimise tyre related damages that results from poor road maintenance and increased downtime.Be adaptable for site mobilization as required within the company.Apply Discipline as set out in the company code of conduct.Ensure a culture of Zero Harm is maintained throughout operations.Attend to Tyre and Rim anomalies as per technical report and issue relevant work instructions to rectify the anomalies timeously.Implement and manage the use of advanced mining technologies and equipment to enhance efficiency and productivity in the tyre industry SafetyWork safely and follow Occupational Health and Safety ProceduresReport hazards, unsafe work conditions and equipment.Report incidents and assist in the investigation and implementation of follow up actions that may be identifiedComply with applicable instructions documented in the OMS Safety PlanUse and maintain Personal Protective Equipment according to procedures and Otraco StandardsContribute to meetings and inspections in order to improve safety in the workplace.Perform Job Hazard Analysis and take control actions to reduce the risk of injury or damage to equipment.Ensure Broad Based Risk Assessment is aligned with the Scope of work.Assist with the performance of risk analysis before any new equipment or process is introduced on site and help with the implementation of control actions identified.Assist with the compilations and review of Safe Work ProceduresPerform regular safety auditsComply with site emergency evacuation procedures. Site mobilization Necessary Resources Site Leader – (not limited to)Delegate required tasks, follow up and ensure compliance with set rules and standards. Develop relevant KPIstructure. Client liaison, Team management and engagement. Review all departmental implementation. Training (not limited to)Trainer to report to site leader daily to ensure effectiveness and realistic completion dates for the requiredtraining must be maintained. Compile OBP file and training of all OBP’s. Complete theoretical training andperform practical assessments as per the unit standards relevant to the operations. Create Training Matrixrelevant to operation. Technical (not limited to)Technical support for required site equipment and tooling, Development of site related spec plans,standardising of site equipment, ask the expert advice, Otracom implementation, passport 360 equipmentmanagement tool. Preventative management plans for tools and equipment, tyre handler capability.Safety (not limited to)Implement site baseline risk assessment, develop JRA and ensure site specific standards, COP’s andprocedures are implemented. Implement Donesafe and training of the application, hazard analysisawareness and reporting of all and any incidents.Operations (not limited to)Shift supervisors to implement tasks related job packs, training evidence, coaching, mentoring, physical tasks,hazard identification, shift handover process, tyre changeslips, rim and tyre receival documentation, wheelassembly recording, OBP acknowledgements for specific tasks.Branch ManagersAssist with possible recruitment along side mobilization leader, engage with Client on site feedback.
