Job SummaryA great mining company in Pretoria, Gauteng is seeking the expertise of an Environmental Manager to join their team of professionals.Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of integrated mine closure plans that prioritize environmental sustainability and community well-being
Collaborate with mining operations to ensure compliance with closure obligations and post-closure monitoring
Collaborate closely with the Life of Mine Planning teams to ensure that mine closure considerations are seamlessly integrated into long-term planning
Oversee water resource management, including efficient usage and responsible discharge practices
Implement water conservation measures and engage with local communities on sustainable water practices
Develop and oversee environmental monitoring programs to track key performance indicators

Requirements

Grade 12
Bachelors / Masters Degree in Environmental Science / Environmental Management
10 - 12 years' experience in an underground mining environment

Benefits

Salary: R1.6M/yr - R1.8M/yr, negotiable
