A reputable company in the steel industry is looking to employ a Mechanical Engineer in the design department.Job Description:The successful candidate will be expected to
Be an expert in 3D CAD packages; including detailed design of industrial machines, sub-components, sheet metal design, weldments & large-scale assemblies
Generate detailed drawings and BOM’s
Prepare manufacturing and assembly instructions
Be highly competent at mechanical stress and load calculations, and, implementation of FEA and simulation software
Have substantial experience with industrial machine and structural design
Have substantial knowledge of motors, hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanical power transmission
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
B-Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Atleast 2-7 years industrial design experience
Advanced Solid works experience
Advanced geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
Advanced knowledge of the MS Office
Sound understanding of fabrication, boiler making, welding and precision machining
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
LV electrical systems
Enterprise PDM exposure
FEM/FEA simulation analysis
Engineering calculations software (Mathcad, MATLAB or similar)
