A growing, entrepreneurial energy group is looking for a bright and teachable Group Accountant to support the financial function across multiple business units. This is the ideal role for someone fresh out of articles who wants to grow in a commercially run environment.This dynamic group in the energy sector is seeking a Junior Group Accountant to join their finance team. The role isn’t consolidations-focused, but rather involves overseeing and reviewing the accounting of several business units, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance. The ideal candidate is someone with strong academics, a proactive attitude, and the desire to learn and grow under experienced leadership.Other Duties Include:

Reviewing and supporting accounting across the business units
Assisting with month-end reporting and variance analysis
Ensuring consistency in accounting practices and internal controls
Liaising with the operational teams for financial input and process alignment
Learning from and assisting with group-wide financial reviews and reporting

Education:

Completed BCom Accounting Degree
Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles

Job Experience & Skills Required:

2 years' experience minimum (post-articles)
Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
Proactive and eager to grow in a multi-entity environment
Good communication skills and a team-player mindset
Able to take instruction and show initiative over time
