You will be responsible for finding new customers, promoting and selling our various insurance plans and product offerings.The goal is to steadily forge long-term relationships to secure the company’s revenues and growth.The Short Term Insurance Broker will work alongside Wealth Advisors who generally is the principal contact with the client, primarily high net worth and targeted individuals and families. This individual will have a broad and deep understanding of sophisticated wealth management practices. The ideal candidate will have worked in this environment before and truly understands the delivery of exceptional service.The Short Term is responsible for maintaining the ongoing relationships and leading in the development of new client relationships. Duties include managing the delivery of the short term component of wealth management services to our clients. This will involve maintaining regular communication with the client, and working in consultation with the client’s other advisors as may be applicable.In addition, this position will require co-ordination with client support personnel, including analysts and administrators in delivering investment management, tax, financial planning, and other pertinent financial services.Your RoleEssential FunctionsInventing effective marketing strategies to sell insurance plans to new clients or up-sell to current clientsUsing methods such as networking, cold calling etc to spot opportunities and cultivate trust with potential customersGauging the condition of business or individual customers and discovering plans according to their requirementsUnderstands the principles of sales( hunting and farming ) and is a strong influencer with individuals with the ability to grow and leverage networksDevelops leads and referrals from current clients, referred and new opportunities and outside contacts through a defined sales process and pipeline managementAccomplish predetermined development goals by obtaining new clientsHas the ability to compare multiple product offerings and direct the clients with solid advice processesUpsell and cross-sell through value-added fee-based services and related product offeringsParticipate in sales meetings with our wealth management consultants with a view to developing and cross-selling to existing client relationshipsRepresents house views, practice philosophy and is able to position short term insurance risk management in the lifestyle financial planning process to colleagues, clients and prospects in person, or by written proposals and or commentariesIs professional in all aspects of engagement internally and externally and walks the talk of the brand promise.Other client services and internal engagementCollaborate with clients to introduce them with befitting risk management strategiesSeeks to establish a level of trust and confidence with the client so that any financial issue can be addressed and solutions offered.Extensive communication with clients and their advisors during and post-sale reviews.Follow the market trends and continuously refurbish knowledge of products and servicesFulfil all policy requirementsDevelop and/or deliver insurance education and training sessions to clients and staff.Evaluate large holdings for performance relative to the overall portfolio and plan strategies fordiversificationAdministration, claims and complianceSubmit regular reviews of progress to interested partiesStrong administrative skills and orientation towards efficient administration is a mustRetain and renew bookkeeping systems, database and recordsOversee insurance claims to ensure fair dealing and satisfactionWorks closely with the back office and other team members, in particular, the client support personnel.Follows defined administrative processes.Is familiar with the FAIS Act, fit and proper requirements and is compliant in all functions and tasks 100% of the time.RequirementsMinimum QualificationsRE 5 – Fais regulatory examsA degree or equivalent qualification in a short term or insurance-related field (Investments, Finance, Law, Accounting/Tax, Economics, Business Administration) and/or 5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceKnowledge RequiredRockfin Wealth Advisors and Brokers are team players and methodical business builders with experience and expertise as trusted advisors serving the sophisticated needs of high and ultra-high net worth individuals and families.
