Industry: PetrochemicalWe are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Instrumentation Technician to join our client's team on a contract basis for a major petrochemical client in Sasolburg. This position offers a dynamic work environment with both short-term technical challenges and long-term strategic input.Key Responsibilities: Short-Term Duties:
- Troubleshooting on existing faulty analysers and bad actors
- Provide experienced input into calibrations, performance testing, maintenance;
- Identification of opportunities for improvements
- Assist with the development of a maintenance and replacement strategy for the department
- Drafting of documentation (i.e. Scope of Services) documentation for plant modifications, upgrading / replacement or expansions
- Experienced input on samplers, sample conditioning, sample transfer, analyser technologies and where applicable, sample discharge / return
- Liaising with Analyser OMEs in terms of troubleshooting, replacement strategies etc.
- On the job training and development of department Artisans
- Relevant technical qualification (e.g. National Diploma or Trade Test in Instrumentation/Process Control)
- Minimum 5–8 years’ experience in analyser systems within the petrochemical or related industry
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills in analyser and sampling systems
- Proven experience in documentation, strategic input, and technical liaison
