A qualified and proactive Safety Officer is required to manage and implement occupational health and safety compliance across various construction sites. The candidate must be SACPCMP-registered (Safety Officer or Safety Manager) and capable of handling site-specific safety requirements, subcontractor compliance, and administrative functions both on-site and at head office.About the Company

- Develop and maintain site-specific safety files
- Conduct weekly site visits, toolbox talks, PPE and tool checks
- Liaise with client safety officers and attend audits, inductions, and safety meetings
- Ensure all documentation (medicals, IDs, permits) is kept up to date for site staff and subcontractors
- Coordinate medical bookings and transport in collaboration with internal teams
- Engage with community labor coordinators where required, and manage compliance paperwork
- Update company safety policies and ensure full compliance per site
- Maintain monthly tool inventory reports and verify with contract managers
- Manage missing or broken tools reporting and escalation
- Inspect and tag scaffolding on site and ensure proper documentation
- Track and update scaffold stock by site and liaise with contract managers on discrepancies
- Process subcontractor applications and manage documentation for BIBC compliance
- Register workers for BIBC numbers and assist with resolving non-compliance
- Issue ID cards for site personnel and ensure annual renewals of contracts
- Support office despatch processes, document tracking, and registers
- Capture and upload photos of staff and projects to the company website
- Update website content and plugins as needed (technical support available if required)
- Liaise with the body corporate regarding security and maintenance
- Manage security cameras and alarms, ensuring proper operation and incident response
- Coordinate fire extinguisher servicing annually and keep first aid certifications valid
- Track and service web slings and other safety-critical equipment
- Attend weekly office meetings and provide project documentation as required
- Assist with internal and client events planning and support
- Respond to additional ad-hoc requests from company leadership
- SACPCMP registration (not candidate level)
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in construction or site-based safety roles
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Valid drivers license
- Willingness to travel for weekly site visits
