Driver TrainerRole and Responsibilities:OperationalAssess new and existing drivers.Conduct training sessions (soft skills and lifting equipment) according to the drawn schedules.Ensure that training schedules (soft skills and lifting equipment) are communicated to the managers and adhered to.Conduct coaching sessions with drivers to improve competency.Conduct driver on-route assessments.Ensure drivers licenses and PrDPs are up to date and valid.Ensure attendance registers are completed and filed correctly.Keep driver files up to date on the learner management system.Provide feedback to all stakeholders regarding driver assessments conducted.Capture and update data on internal systems.Facilitate training interventions linked to TETA scope.Assess learners fairly, consistently, and accurately according to TETA requirements.Use understandable language and provide support where needed.Conduct site audits and route inspections to ensure vehicles are up to standard.Assist with vehicle dispatching.Assist in relevant operations/operational functions as required.Maintain professional conduct.Ensure dress code compliance with The Companys Standard Operating Procedures.Maintain housekeeping standards daily.Ensure Health and Safety standards are upheld.Minimum RequirementsGrade 12 or equivalent.Code EC drivers license with valid PrDP.Proven experience as a driving instructor.Clear driving record.Clear criminal record.Patience and enthusiasm.TETA registered Assessor.5 years experience as a Code EC driver.Competence in operating the following unit standards:Vehicle combination (Superlink and Articulated vehicles).Rigid heavy vehicle.Rigid light vehicle.Dangerous goods.Warehouse lifting equipment.Firefighting.
