Job Summary • BSC, BTech or BEng degree in Chemical, Metallurgical Engineering, or related qualification. • 2 years' laboratory experience in developing and testing technology to utilize Hydrometallurgy to extract valuable metal fines whilst producing 99% pure Hematite. • 2 years' experience in Hydrometallurgy, with the aim to separate metal fractions from various ores on a bench scale level. • At least 6 months' experience in separating metal fractions from a titaniferous magnetite concentrate on Demonstration plant level. • Experience in pyro metallurgical operations with Ferro alloy production will be advantageous. • Sufficient Research and Development experience in a similar environment. • Experience in Battery metals extraction and refining. • In depth understanding of Research and Development processes and methodologies. • In depth understanding of new/novel Hydrometallurgical concepts to beneficiate base metal ore concentrates, as well as laboratory experiments required for proof of concept. • Well-developed laboratory skills, including, but not limited to creating a hypothesis, record keeping, dissection, titration, pipetting, measuring, lab safety and ability to clean and sterilize equipment to ensure results are representative, accurate and not contaminated. • In depth understanding of all relevant legal requirements.
