- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience within the manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in Solid Edge (3D CAD modelling).
- Strong background in sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience in welding, phosphating, and powder coating.
- Knowledge of engineering drafting and design standards.
- Strong project management skills.
- Previous exposure in liaising with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Research, develop, and design mechanical components and products using Solid Edge.
- Oversee the full design-to-production process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Develop and manage engineering and drafting practices in line with industry requirements.
- Provide technical expertise on sheet metal fabrication, welding, and surface treatment processes.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations for projects.
- Manage key customer accounts and provide technical support as needed.
- Supervise and coordinate design-related activities to support sales and growth objectives.
- Conduct research and development to improve products and processes.
- Ensure compliance with good drawing office practices.
- Analyse research and production data, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Liaise with customers regularly to ensure requirements are met and provide progress updates.
- Support project management from initiation through to completion.
