A well-established manufacturing company in the packaging sector is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead its operations based in Bronkhorstspruit, Gauteng. Oversee the daily operations of the plant, ensuring smooth production and adherence to quality standards.
Lead and develop a team across production, maintenance, and quality control functions.
Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize resources.
Ensure machinery and equipment are maintained to minimize downtime and meet production demands.
Monitor plant performance through key metrics and implement corrective measures where needed.
Manage budgets, resources, and raw material requirements effectively.
Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Collaborate with senior management on production planning, operational strategies, and growth initiatives.

Requirements

A diploma/degree in Engineering, Production/Operations Management, or a related discipline.
Proven experience as a Plant Manager or Operations Manager within a manufacturing or packaging environment.
Strong technical knowledge of production processes, equipment, and preventative maintenance systems.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams at all levels.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities.
Strong communication and decision-making skills.
Knowledge of quality management systems (QMS) and health & safety compliance.
