- Must have a relevant tertiary degree (B. Sc. or M. Sc.) in Plant Breeding, Agriculture, or a related field
- Minimum 1 -2 years’ post-graduate experience in plant breeding or related roles
- Strong understanding of plant breeding principles and methodologies is essential
- Experience in wheat, small grains, sorghum or other row crops is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to be on site daily
- Conducting breeding experiments to develop improved crop varieties.
- Analyzing data and reporting findings to the Managing Director.
- Collaborating with research teams and agronomists on breeding programs.
- Managing field trials and evaluating plant performance under various conditions.
- Maintaining accurate records of breeding activities and results.
- Assisting in the development of new breeding techniques and technologies.
- Participating in industry conferences and workshops to stay updated on advancements.
- Working closely with stakeholders to address agricultural challenges and optimize crop production.
- Providing technical support and training to team members and partners.
