- Monitor and update stock levels to ensure accurate records.
- Conduct regular stock checks (stock-takes) and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of stock.
- Analyze stock movements and identify trends.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve stock management processes.
- Maintain clean and organized storerooms.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide reports on stock levels, trends, and issues to management.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize stock control processes and procedures.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 to 3 years of proven experience as a Stock Controller or in a similar role.
- A relevant tertiary qualification would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of stock control and packing.
- Prior experience in a similar role within a hospitality environment is preferred.
