NelspruitAn established engineering workshop is seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman to oversee and manage all aspects of workshop operations.Minimum requirements:
- Recognised trade qualification in Turning / Fitting and Turning
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar workshop leadership role
- Strong background in machine maintenance and stock control
- Safety Inspector experience with solid knowledge of workshop safety regulations
- Skilled in fitting, turning, milling, drilling, welding, and grinding
- Proven ability to quote accurately on projects and jobs (essential)
- Quality Control (QC) experience, ensuring high standards on all work
- Supervise and coordinate daily workshop operations
- Maintain and service all machinery and equipment
- Enforce and maintain safety standards in compliance with regulations
- Manage stock levels, materials, and consumables
- Oversee all machining, fabrication, and repair work
- Conduct quality checks on completed work
- Prepare accurate project and job quotations
- Lead, train, and motivate workshop staff
