SUMMARY:
-POSITION INFO:On behalf of our client, a leading player in the agricultural commodity trading industry, we are seeking a meticulous and proactive Contract Administrator / Trade Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role is critical in managing the administrative and financial aspects of commodity trading contracts, ensuring precision, compliance, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will combine commercial insight, strong organizational skills, and a solid foundation in mathematics or principles.Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and manage commodity trading contracts, ensuring accurate documentation and execution of all terms.
  • Monitor contract performance, including tracking deliveries, pricing, and payment schedules.
  • Liaise with traders, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth contract execution and resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform basic financial reconciliations and ensure accurate recording of trade-related transactions.
  • Maintain detailed records of contracts, invoices, and payments, adhering to internal policies and industry regulations.
  • Assist in preparing reports on trade activities, financial positions, and contract status for management.
  • Collaborate with the
team to ensure accurate costings, margins, and financial reporting. * Identify and mitigate risks associated with contract execution and market fluctuations.Requirements
  • Education: A
degree (or equivalent) is preferred, ideally in accounting, finance, or . Candidates with strong mathematics performance at school and/or university level are highly desirable. * Experience: Experience in the agricultural commodity trading industry is advantageous but not mandatory. Alternatively, candidates with a basic accounting background or exposure to financial processes will be considered.
  • Skills:
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with a proven aptitude for mathematics.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting or ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple contracts under tight deadlines.
