Meridian Wine Merchants is hiring a Wine List Assistant to support our On Consumption Trade Marketing & Sales team. Based in Gauteng, this role focuses wine list development, growth, and maintenance for all On Consumption customers on a national level based on portfolio, product and customer segmentation and image grading.Responsibilities include:
  • Receiving and reviewing wine list briefs
  • Assisting Sales Consultants with wine list development
  • Assisting with portfolio prioritisation, as well as gap and competitor analysis
  • Managing the process from brief, design, proofs, sign-off, print & production to delivery
Key requirements:
  • A passion for wine and food, and a love for the hospitality industry
  • A self-starter, highly motivated, and driven by service excellence
  • Pays extreme attention to detail, is process-driven, with creative flair
Qualifications and experience:
  • Grade 12
  • Diploma or Certificate in Sales, Marketing, or a related field
  • Cape Wine Academy Certificate or South African Wine Course, WSET level 2 (or equivalent) will be beneficial
